Method 1: In the App (Instant)

In-app deletion takes effect immediately: the account is deactivated on the spot, active rivalries end, and the profile disappears from the app. Rivals can no longer see the display name or send new challenges.

The 14-Day Grace Window

After a deletion request, the account enters a 14-day grace window before the permanent purge runs. During this window the account is deactivated and invisible to other players, but the underlying records still exist on our servers. This exists as a safety net: if the request was a mistake, or someone else triggered it, email support@drawversus.com within those 14 days and we can halt the purge and restore the account. Once the window closes, the purge is automatic and cannot be reversed by anyone, including us.

Method 2: Support Email (If App is Uninstalled)

If you no longer have access to the device or app, email our support team and we will locate and delete your records within 30 days.

What Gets Deleted

When the purge runs, we permanently remove the account records: the account identifier, display name, and push notification tokens. Every drawing created on the account is deleted, along with the guesses made, guess times, streaks, weekly scores, and the full rivalry history attached to it.

Rivalries are shared between two people, so the other side of each duel is handled carefully. A former rival keeps their own half of the history — their drawings and their guesses — but drawings from the deleted account are shown as removed rather than displayed. Nothing created on the deleted account remains viewable to anyone.

Any outstanding share links and challenge links (drawversus.com/c/… and /r/… URLs) tied to the account are revoked at the same time. A link that previously opened a drawing in the browser will simply stop working, even for someone who saved it.

Two narrow exceptions: moderation records involving reports may be kept where required by law, and aggregate anonymous metrics that never identified the account remain unaffected. For complete details, review our Privacy Policy.

We answer deletion questions with priority, and there is no retention pitch: the goal is simply that the account ends up in the state intended.
